Governor Eric Holcomb signed an Executive Order Friday afternoon that increases child care options for families seeking support during virtual school days.
In this Order, school corporations will be able to contract with organizations, such as a Boys and Girls Club, to operate school-age child care programs in locations other than school buildings. This will help families who need this type of assistance while their students engage in virtual learning.
Additionally, the order increases from six to ten the number of school-aged children allowed to gather in a home on school days for e-learning without requiring the child care setting to be licensed.
