A Goshen man was arrested Saturday evening after an accident on U.S. 6 near Beech Road in Marshall County.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received notification of the accident just after 5:30 p.m. Officers from the Sheriff’s Department and the Bremen Police Department responded and began looking for the man who allegedly fled into a wooded area near the scene. Bremen officers later located the owner of the vehicle, 35-year-old Erich Conran, at a residence in the 1,000 block of 12B Road and he reportedly ran from officers again. Police say Conran was quickly apprehended and taken to the Plymouth hospital for treatment.
After Conran was discharged, he was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement. Additional charges are pending with the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
