Culver Community School Superintendent Karen Shuman told the school board members last week that the first few days of school have been going well so far.
She noted that there were a few glitches with a few things on the first few days, but nothing major to report.
Students are wearing their masks in the school and teachers have been diligent in explaining that and other regulations to their students. Shuman noted that several masks were donated to the school for student use which was very generous and helpful.
Temperature checks are being done on bus routes and at the door. There were some students with slight temperatures, but they were fine the next day.
Cleaning is being done every period during the school year. Middle/High School Principal Brett Berndt said staff and students are doing what they can to be able to stay in school in person for as long as possible. Elementary School Principal Erin Proskey said the students have been compliant with wearing masks.
Officials will address things as they arise and consult with the Health Department on any health issues that do arise.
