Taxpayers who have not made their non-escrow property tax payments have until Friday, July 10 to make those payments without penalty.
Marshall County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier said payments not made by July 10 will be assessed a five percent penalty if there are no delinquencies. If it remains unpaid within the first 30 days, the penalty will increase to 10 percent. For parcels where there are existing delinquencies, an automatic 10 percent penalty will apply.
Payments may be mailed, but must be postmarked on July 10 or before to be considered “on time”. Residents may also use the drop boxes located inside and outside of the north and south doors of the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth. Online payments can be made with a debit or credit card, with a convenience fee, on the county’s website at www.co.marshall.in.us.
