The Plymouth City Council members reviewed a zoning ordinance change pertaining to farm-scale solar farms in the two-mile jurisdiction. They cannot be bigger than 10 acres, or more than 435,601 square feet.
Plymouth Planning Consultant Ralph Booker said the amendment mirrors the changes Marshall County approved involving setback height, lot coverage and drainage, buffers, drainage board review, Technical Review Committee review, flood plain considerations, security, lighting, decommissioning, traffic management plans, and a detailed process in terms of bonding.
The council approved the amendment with a unanimous vote.
