Plymouth City Council Holds First Reading on Salary Ordinances

The Plymouth City Council members held the first reading concerning salary ordinances when they met last week. 

The ordinance that pertains to salaries for elected officials has the Mayor’s proposed salary at about $62,877 while the Clerk-Treasurer’s salary is about $65,282.  The Common Council members will receive a collective amount of $8,953 for the year. Equal portions of those salaries will come from the Water Works Fund, Wastewater Fund, and the General Fund, and will be paid in 24 equal installments.

An ordinance for the fixed salaries of appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for 2021 was also passed on first reading. 

There are no raises for any elected officials or appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for 2021. 

The second and third readings of the ordinances will be considered in a future meeting.
