State Road 106 in Bremen between Montgomery Street and Washington Street will be closed for two months beginning Monday, July 13.
Crews from the Indiana Department of Transportation will be performing an underground water and sewer main replacement, and installing new drainage infrastructure. Other utility work is also in the plan.
This work is ahead of a larger paving project on State Road 106 through Bremen in the next couple of months. It is part of the downtown revitalization project through the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Communities Initiative. The road will be paved from U.S. 6 West and U.S. 6 East.
The official detour with the upcoming project on Monday will follow State Road 331, U.S. 6 and County Road 321/Douglas Road.
Many construction projects have occurred in or near Bremen this summer so far. Crews are also currently working on a bridge super structure replacement over the east branch of the Bunch Ditch. That project has closed State Road 106 and Miami Road until the end of September.
