Additional rounds of COVID-19 Rapid Response grants were awarded during the last part of June.
The Marshall County Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Link to Hope were the recipients in the most recent round of grant awards.
The Marshall County Diversity and Inclusion Committee is looking to create a Spanish language website to serve as a resource for food security, housing and utility assistance to the Latinx community and Marshall County as a whole. Link to Hope will use funds for utility and housing assistance.
United Way of Marshall County, in partnership with the Marshall County Community Foundation, is working address immediate and urgent needs to organizations providing food, housing and utility assistance to households impacted by COVID-19 in the Rapid Response program. The total amount in grant awards in the eight rounds available to date is $80,663. The first round was awarded April 10.
Organizations that are working to address immediate needs of households impacted by COVID-19 may apply online for a Rapid Response Grant at www.marshallcountyuw.org/covid19 by clicking on the “COVID-19 Rapid Response Grant Application” button at the top and bottom of the page. Rapid Response Grant applications are available to help nonprofits meet safety and health guidelines so representatives may continue to offer their services and support to the community.
