More COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Starke, Marshall Counties

The number of local COVID-19 deaths is rising.

In Thursday’s report from the Indiana State Department of Health, Starke County reported one additional COVID-19 death to bring the total to seven while Marshall County had one additional COVID-19 death to increase that total to 21.  In the state, another 13 people have died of COVID-19. 

Two more positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in both Starke County and Marshall County while Pulaski County reported one more additional case.  Starke County is up to 154 total cases, Marshall County has 722 total cases, and Pulaski County has 70 total positive cases of COVID-19. 

Patients are in varying stages of fighting the virus and recovering from the virus

The Indiana State Department of Health announced that 970 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the state which brings the state total to 65,253. 

The drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinics at Knox High School and Plymouth Wesleyan Church will continue today through Saturday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time each day.  Anyone over the age of 12 is welcome to get a COVID-19 test for free.
