A Knox man was arrested on a charge of dealing a controlled substance following a traffic stop in Starke County on Monday morning.
According to the Indiana State Police, Trooper Korinne Reinke stopped a pickup truck driven by 46-year-old Michael Minix of Knox at 10 a.m. CT for a moving violation as he was traveling west on County Road 200 South near County Road 500 East.
During the course of the traffic stop, police found that Minix had an active warrant out of Marshall County for dealing a controlled substance. Minix was also allegedly in possession of 30 tubes marked “Testim” and 30 tubes marked “Testosterone Gel 1%” which are considered to be schedule III controlled substances. He was also reportedly in possession of a large amount of cash.
Minix was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of dealing in a controlled substance in addition to the active warrant. His bond was set at $100,005 cash.
The Indiana State Police was assisted by the Marshall County Drug Task Force.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
