A Bourbon man was sentenced on two felony drug charges in a plea and sentencing hearing in Marshall County Superior Court No. 1 on Wednesday.
Travis Tarlton, 31, pleaded guilty to felony charges of conspiracy to commit dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine
Tarlton admitted to Judge Robert O. Bowen that he accepted payment for methamphetamine sold by his co-defendant to a confidential informant. The co-defendant, Taran Holderman, is currently serving 20 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections in this same incident.
Judge Bowen accepted the plea agreement. Tarlton was sentenced per the terms of the plea agreement negotiated between Marshall County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Tami Napier and Defense Attorney Chris Berdahl.
Tarlton will serve 10 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections on the Level 2 Felony charge of conspiracy to commit dealing methamphetamine and six years on the Level 5 Felony charge of possession of methamphetamine. The two sentences will served concurrently, or at the same time, for a total of 10 years.
