Marshall County Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team Officers arrested 20 people on Monday, July 20 and Tuesday, July 21 as the result of numerous investigations. Multi-agency operations were coordinated to conduct the warrant sweeps in and around Marshall County for narcotic offenses.
Five people were arrested at a residence on Lemler Lane in Plymouth on Monday after officers say they found a significant amount of methamphetamine in the home, plus suspected heroin and numerous forms of paraphernalia after a search warrant. Officers also reportedly found evidence of dealing drugs. UNIT Officers, along with the Indiana State Police SWAT Team, Indiana State Police, Plymouth City Police Department and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested Plymouth residents 56-year-old James Bailey, 33-year-old Matthew Hensley and 60-year-old Richard Hopkins Sr. on a charge of dealing in methamphetamine as a Level 2 Felony. They remain in the Marshall County Jail on $50,000 cash bonds. In that same incident, 33-year-old Richard Hopkins Jr. and 37-year-old Bonnie Agee are facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and visiting a common nuisance. Their bonds are set at $3,000 cash.
In a separate incident, officers from the Bourbon Police Department, Marshall County UNIT, and the Indiana State Police executed a search warrant at a home on Liberty Avenue in Bourbon. A significant amount of methamphetamine as well as cultivated marijuana and drug paraphernalia were reportedly recovered. Officers say evidence of dealing drugs was also found. Bourbon resident 37-year-old Jason Irwin faces a Level 2 Felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine with a $28,000 cash bond and 35-year-old Candice Irwin, also of Bourbon, faces a charge of dealing in methamphetamine as a Level 4 Felony with a $20,000 cash bond. Bourbon police officers later arrested Christopher Hawkins on a warrant for a Level 2 Felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine.
A dealing in marijuana warrant arrest involved 23-year-old Justice Warren of Plymouth who reportedly was in possession of over nine pounds of marijuana, marijuana edibles and numerous forms of paraphernalia. Cash and two firearms were seized by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department officers and UNIT officers from the residence on 8B Road.
Two other Plymouth residents were arrested by UNIT officers and Plymouth Police Department officers on Monday for outstanding warrants for dealing in a controlled substance. Daniel Henderson, 38, is being held on a $20,000 cash bond and Breenna Henderson, 26, is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $3,000 cash bond.
On Tuesday, two more people were arrested after police conducted a search warrant inside a room at the Economy Inn in Plymouth where they reportedly found a significant amount of methamphetamine. UNIT officers, the Indiana State Police SWAT Team, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department officers and Plymouth Police Department officers arrested 61-year-old Dennis Salyer of Knox and Hiram Noble of Plymouth on Level 2 Felony charges of dealing in methamphetamine. They are being held in the Marshall County Jail on $50,000 cash bonds through bondsman.
A search warrant was executed at a home on North Michigan Street in Argos on Tuesday where UNIT Officers, Indiana State Police SWAT Team, Marshall County Sheriff s Department and Argos Police Department officers reportedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, suspected hallucinogenic mushrooms, numerous forms of paraphernalia, and evidence of dealing drugs. Officers arrested 44-year-old Andrew Kirby and 43-year-old Stephanie Risner-Valdez from Argos on a Level 2 Felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine. They both have $50,000 cash bonds.
UNIT officers also arrested 25-year-old Destiny Hossler of Mishawaka for a Level 2 Felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine and Mathew Keller-Lowry on a Level 4 Felony charge of dealing in methamphetamine. Three other subjects are being held in surrounding counties on high level felonies from UNIT investigations.
The investigations resulted in the total seizure of 280 grams of methamphetamine, over nine pounds of marijuana, nine grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and 3.2 grams of heroin and LSD. Officers also confiscated three firearms, and seized three vehicles and over $7,000 in cash.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
