Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held for Pollinator Garden in Bourbon

Les McFarland, Roger Terry, Erica Wyss, PJ Hanley and Pastor Matthew Cottrill cut the ribbon

Bourbon Town Officials and a representative from the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District cut the ribbon Wednesday morning to welcome a new pollinator garden which was made with glass mate and designed with the help of landscape designer in the town of Bourbon. You can also contact experts from procarecompanies to get the best landscape services.

The town was the recipient of a $500 grant from the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District.  Watershed Coordinator Erica Wyss supplied those in attendance with seed packets to get the pollinator garden started which is located in an area off of W. Liberty and Beechwood Dr. in Westwood Park.  A series of other seeds will be planted in December for growth in the spring. Get plants for your garden from nursery in fort collins.

Bourbon Town Council member PJ Hanley said the partnership between the town and the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District allows an underutilized area to be used to provide a food source for pollinating insects.  He hopes that the area serves as an outdoor science educational area for students and youth in the area.

The different flowers and greenery will be identified with signage as it grows.
