Plymouth City Council Opens Public Hearing Concerning Waiver of Noncompliance for Marshall County Life Center

A public hearing was opened last week during the Plymouth City Council meeting to hear comments concerning a waiver of CF-1 noncompliance for the Marshall County Life Center, Inc.

Marshall County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Jerry Chavez explained that the Marshall County Life Center, Inc. owns the Early Childhood Learning Center and the Dr. Susan Bardwell Aquatic Center.  Chavez said the deadline was missed to have the CF-1 paperwork regarding tax abatement before the Plymouth City Council so a noncompliant CF-1 was proposed for approval last week.

Chavez said the waiver of the noncompliant CF-1 puts all of the process back in order.  He assured that officials from the MCEDC will be sure that it is filed on time in the future.

The Plymouth City Council approved the waiver of the noncompliant CF-1 for Marshall County Life Center Inc. as it was filed after the deadline which is in mid-May.  It will be officially filed with the county.  The tax abatement process should continue as initially planned.
