Plymouth Police Department officers say witnesses and the driver told them that a pedestrian suddenly ran into the path of a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Thomas Hughes of Lapaz and Hughes reportedly did not have time to react. Hughes was traveling north on Michigan Street near the U.S. 30 overpass when the accident occurred. The witnesses were walking in the same direction in the area at the time, according to the report.
