The number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to increase in the area, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana State Department of Health.
Marshall County saw an increase of four cases from Sunday’s report to bring the total to 305, Starke County had one additional case to bring the total to 52, and Pulaski County’s total case count remains at 53. Patients are in varying stages of fighting the virus and recovering from the virus.
The Indiana State Department of Health announced that 533 additional residents in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19 for a statewide total of 40,430 residents diagnosed with COVID-19. Another 11 people have died from COVID-19. A total of 2,251 Hoosiers have now died from the virus.
Effective Monday, any Hoosier seeking COVID-testing can obtain it through one of the state-sponsored OptumServe sites, regardless of whether they are at high risk or have symptoms. To find testing locations around the state, visit www.coronavirus.in.gov and click on the COVID-19 testing information link. More than 200 locations are available around the state.
