The June Primary Election produced two contested races in Marshall County with close results.
Republican Incumbent Curtis D. Palmer gathered just 90 more votes than Republican challenger Janette Elaine Surrisi to retain the seat for the Judge of the Circuit Court in Tuesday’s election.
In the Marshall County Council At-Large race, the three Republican candidates with the most votes will move to the General Election in the fall, although there are no Democrat candidates currently on the ballot. Tim Harman got the most votes, followed by Jesse Bohanan and then Incumbent Jim Masterson. They will be on the ballot in November, edging out Incumbents Penny Lukenbill and Jon VanVactor, and challengers Bill Githens and William Patterson.
There were a total of 6,242 voters who cast a ballot in this election with 2,611 voters who chose to vote absentee.
