According to information from the Regenstrief Institute, in a new trends option on the dashboard on its website, Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties are in a decreasing trend when it comes to emergency visits, hospital admissions, and deaths. Marshall County has seen a steady increase in positive tests over the past few weeks, but the company lists the positive test trend as inconclusive.
More people in the age groups of 40 to 49, 60 to 69 and 70 to 79 are testing positive for COVID-19 while a decrease is shown in most all other age groups.
In the state, Regenstrief Institute officials say 74 percent of those diagnosed with COVID-19 are in the recovery stage while 20 percent are fighting the virus. Those statistics are showing improvement from last week’s information.
