John Glenn Student Wins Congressional Art Competition for Second Consecutive Year

Salem Slater’s winning artwork “Hanging Pangolin”

A senior at John Glenn High School is the winner of the 2020 Congressional Art Competition for Indiana’s 2nd District for the 2nd year in a row.

Salem Slater’s winning artwork “Hanging Pangolin” will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol in 2020 alongside other winners in this year’s competition.  U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski virtually called to congratulate Slater and complimented her on the piece she submitted.

Nineteen high school students from throughout Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District submitted entries, and a judging panel of local artists helped select the winning entry.
