The Bremen Town Council members opened bids Monday afternoon for the utility project on Alexander Street. The project includes utility line extensions for possible development in that area of Bremen. The development of a street is planned in that area in the future.
Five companies bid on the project. Haskins Underground bid a little under $110,000, Selge Construction Company, Inc. bid about $251,000, TGB Unlimited Inc. submitted a bid of about $308,000, HRP Construction, Inc. bid about $338,000 and Beer and Slabaugh submitted a bid of about $479,000.
The council members voted unanimously to take those bids under advisement. A bid should be awarded at the council’s next meeting on June 22. The project is anticipated to begin this summer.
