Two people were injured in a two vehicle accident Monday evening at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Queen Road.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Trinh Shirley of Wilmette, Illinois was traveling west on U.S. 30 approaching the intersection with Queen Road when the traffic light turned red. She reportedly told police that she couldn’t see the traffic signal change due to the sun shining in her eyes. At the time she entered the intersection, a vehicle driven by Diane Eskridge of Plymouth had already proceeded into the intersection off of Queen Road after being stopped waiting for the signal to change, according to the report. One can get legal help for car accidents that result in injury compensation.
As a result, Shirley’s vehicle collided with Eskridge’s vehicle on the driver’s side.
Shirley was transported by ambulance to the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for unknown injuries while Eskridge was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for a possible neck injury and other unknown injuries.
