Stage three of Governor Eric Holcomb’s Back on Track plan began Friday and while that allows more activities to occur State Health Commissioner Dr. Kris Box encourages safety this Memorial Day weekend.
“Hoosiers should still limit their out and about,” said Dr. Box. “I know that’s hard especially when children have been cooped up and are finishing up the school year and want to get out. This is normally the time of year when people are hitting the road on vacation, going to the zoo and going to the Children’s Museum. I want to remind everyone that this is not a normal year. We have to remain vigilant and continue to make informed decisions about where to go and what we do. That’s the best way to ensure that these numbers can continue to trend downward and protect our most vulnerable Hoosiers.”
She urges everyone to stay safe this holiday weekend.
