
Marshall County and Pulaski County reported one additional positive COVID-19 each in the latest report from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH). Marshall County reported a total of 32 COVID-19 cases, Pulaski County reported a total of 34 cases and Starke County reported 21 cases.
Statewide, 606 additional residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the Indiana State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and private laboratories. A total of 23,732 residents have the novel coronavirus.
The number of deaths reported Saturday was 1,362, an increase of 34 from Friday’s report. The probable death statistic is at 128. A probable death is recorded if COVID-19 may be a contributing factor, but there wasn’t a positive test.
A total of 135,686 have been reported to the Indiana State Department of Health.
Information on how many people have recovered from COVID-19 statewide is not available in the ISDH report.
At the Westville Correctional Facility, 174 offenders have tested positive for COVID-19, along with 82 staff members. According to the Department of Correction website, a majority of those who have tested positive have recovered.
