Plymouth Mayor Allows Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration Expire

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter has decided not to renew the city’s Public Health Disaster Emergency Declaration.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members took action Tuesday night to approve the ratification of the Executive Order that extended the most previous declaration. It expired on Monday, May 25.

The declaration was extended each week since mid-March.  The Marshall County Commissioners opted to let the declaration expire on the county level as well.

The board members also unanimously ratified an Executive Order enacted by Mayor Senter in response to a request by the Plymouth Public Library staff.  They asked to participate in a sidewalk chalk decorating event to help usher in the beginning of summer programs at the facility.  The summer programs began on Tuesday, May 26.
