A Plymouth man was arrested Friday night for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a phone call from a resident who said a man stopped in the resident’s driveway to ask for directions to Plymouth and he appeared to be intoxicated. A short time later police say they located the driver in a 2007 white PT Cruiser on the side of the road on King Road south of U.S. 30 in Plymouth.
The driver, 46-year-old Manuel Olvera Rodriguez, of Plymouth, was transported to the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth where it was reportedly determined that his blood alcohol level was nearly four times the legal limit.
Rodriguez was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated endangering and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. Cash bond was set at $1,505.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
