Plymouth BOW Members Ratify Executive Orders

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members ratified several Executive Orders Monday night.

One Executive Order pertained to the Plymouth Public Library.  The director requested the use of four parking spots in the city’s parking lot to the west of the library for a curbside pickup program.  According to the library’s website, items can be placed on hold by logging on to MyPlymouthLibrary.org or calling the library at 574-936-2324 Ext. 1007.  The library will call patrons when items are ready for pickup.  Those items can be retrieved Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.  Library materials may be returned by utilizing the library’s book drop.  All items are quarantined for 72 hours and then cleaned before they are disbursed to the next patron.

Items checked out prior to March 16 are not due until June 1, but they can be returned at any time.

Another Executive Order extended the Public Health Emergency Disaster Declaration until May 11.  It noted that the city offices will remain closed until Tuesday, May 26.

The last Executive Order is another extension of the Public Health Emergency Disaster Declaration through May 18.  In this declaration, the restriction of out-of-state travel is lifted along with the 14-day quarantine when traveling out of state.

The board members ratified the orders as presented with a unanimous vote.
