The Indiana State Department of Health reported an increase of positive COVID-19 in Saturday’s news. Officials say 513 additional people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the Indiana State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and private laboratories within a time frame of May 21 and May 22.
Marshall County is now up to 61 positive cases of COVID-19 compared to 54 in Friday’s report. Pulaski County increased to 38 cases and Starke County is at 30. Marion County reported over 9,000 while Lake County has over 3,100. Other highly populated counties in the state reported over 1,000 cases.

Another 21 Hoosiers have died of COVID-19 from Friday’s report from April 22 to May 22. A total of 1,812 people have died of the virus.
Nearly 215,000 tests have been reported to the Indiana State Department of Health, an increase of about 6,300 from Friday’s totals.
