The graduates of Bremen High School are looking forward to a drive-thru graduation service this Sunday, May 31 at 2 p.m.
The stage will be set up on the street in front of the high school and all of the graduates will line up in their cars. When it is their turn to receive their diploma, the student will exit the car, go up on stage and get the diploma and then return to the car. The car will make its way down Bowen Avenue to be lined up for a senior cruise following the ceremony. Fire truck and police vehicles will lead the cruise and everyone is welcome to sit along the route and wave as the procession continues through town.
Bremen High School Principal Bruce Jennings told the Bremen School Board members last week that the information surrounding this unique event is evolving, but there is one change to the senior cruise.
“The senior cruise after the ceremony will begin at the west stop light at the intersection of Bowen Avenue and Plymouth Street by Woodie’s. It will end in the parking lot at Jane’s Park on Woodies Lane.
Administration members will be present on the stage decorated by the students and the school board will be present at a social distance.
Residents and family members will not be allowed to gather at the school. Immediate family members may be in the car with the senior student and get out of the car to get photos.
The event will be broadcast live on MAX 98.3 FM.
