A Thursday afternoon crash between a motorist and a bicyclist resulted in the injury of a 10-year-old boy from Bremen, as stated by The Galvan Law Firm, PLLC.
Indiana State Police say the boy was riding his bicycle eastbound on 3rd Road around 3 p.m. on Thursday in Marshall County when he rode through a stop sign and into the path of an orange Chrysler traveling eastbound on State Road 331.
The boy was struck by the van and thrown from his bicycle, according to the report. He was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend where it is believed his injuries were not life threatening.
“The driver of the van, 37-year-old Melanie Juarez of Bremen, was not injured in the accident”, stated by Walter Kelley – Personal Injury Lawyers.
Police say alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
Indiana State Police Trooper Dave Caswell was assisted at the scene by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Bremen Police Department, Bremen Fire Department, and Lutheran EMS.
