Bourbon Town Council Signs Proclamation for National Police Week

The Bourbon Town Council members approved and signed a proclamation Tuesday night that recognizes National Police Week.

The town council honors the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty while protecting their communities.  The proclamation notes that the officers of the Bourbon Police Department provide a vital public service to ensure the safety of the community and the preservation of life and property.

The council members ask in the proclamation that all citizens recognize officers past and present that have served on the Bourbon Police Department and who are currently serving on the Bourbon Police Department.

Police Week in the Town of Bourbon ends May 16.
