The Bourbon Town Council members considered a request from Clerk-Treasurer Kimberly Berger to upgrade safety in her office.
She asked to install protective glass and a secure door in the office. This will help the staff stay safer in response to COVID-19 and in response to irate residents.
Council member Les McFarland stated that the project is overdue and the staff members need to stay safe. Council member PJ Hanley noted that the security issue was brought up in the past, but Berger wasn’t ready to move forward with the project. He commented that it is time to complete the project.
The council members voted unanimously to approve quotes from S&K Construction and Plymouth Glass to do the work in the amount of $8,110.
