Update: Accident Claims the Life of Monterey Woman

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department released additional information Wednesday morning on a fatal accident in Culver Monday night.

According to attorney from https://halelaw.com/sarasota-personal-injury-attorney/truck-accidents/, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Road 17 at the intersection with 20A Road in Culver around 5:55 p.m. ET.  Police say two passenger vehicles collided in the area.  According to the report, witnesses stated that the driver of a brown Buick LeSabre, 44-year-old Arthur Fisher of Monterey, reportedly ran off the southwest side of State Road 17 and then overcorrected steering back east, skidded into the northbound lane and struck a black Ford Edge, driven by Shannon Lancaster of Rochester. 

Fisher and two children inside the LaSabre were airlifted from the scene to South Bend Memorial Hospital and Parkview Regional Medical Center, respectively, while 43-year-old Kristen Fisher of Monterey was pronounced dead at the scene.  Lancaster was transported to the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. 

Police believe drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. 

Marshall County Coroner John Grolich, Culver-Union Township EMS, Culver-Union Township Fire Department, and Fulton County EMS/Fire units assisted the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
