Plymouth Mayor Signs Order Regarding Recreation Areas

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter signed an Executive Order on Monday that concerns recreation areas.

In the order, Mayor Senter is closing all playgrounds in the City of Plymouth.  The parks will be open, but in order to promote safe practices, the basketball courts, tennis/pickleball courts, shuffleboard courts, volleyball courts, soccer fields, skate parks, and other recreation venues will be closed.  Any other area where groups may gather to participate in organized sport or event is closed.

Mayor Senter stressed that this follows Governor Holcomb’s order to close all playgrounds and the declaration of a Public Health Disaster Emergency in Indiana due to COVID-19.

When at the city’s parks, Mayor Senter encourages all to remain at a social distance of six feet.
