Two local healthcare facilities have more personal protective equipment and medical supplies thanks to the Plymouth High School Health Science program.
Health Science Instructor Dana Bush, RN said in information released by the school corporation that she reached out to Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth and Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth who indicated that masks, gloves, or any supplies available could be used to protect the staff and patients from COVID-19. The amount of available gloves and masks at the school were divided and distributed between the two facilities. In addition, the hospital received nurse caps and shoe covers.
The Health Science program at Plymouth High School is part of the North Central Area Vocational Cooperative that consists of 10 surrounding school corporations. Students who complete two years of the program can earn 11 dual college credits.
