The Indiana State Department of Health reported an additional 49 deaths in its daily report on Wednesday, pushing the total of COVID-19 Indiana deaths up to 436.
Test results provided to the ISDH showed an additional 440 Hoosiers diagnosed with COVID-19 which bring the total number of Indiana residents known to have the novel coronavirus to 8,955.
Marshall County Health Nurse Lisa Letsinger explained that while residents have recovered from COVID-19 the recovery cases are not withdrawn from the total count.
Starke County is at 10 positive cases of COVID-19 with one reported death, Marshall County has 19 positive cases, Pulaski County is at one case, Fulton County has three cases, Kosciusko County has 19 cases and one death, Elkhart County has 105 cases with three reported deaths, St. Joseph County has 273 cases and five deaths, La Porte County has 42 cases and four deaths, Porter County has 130 cases and two deaths, Lake County has 876 cases and 33 deaths, Jasper County has 19 cases and one reported death, and Marion County has 3,204 cases and 155 deaths.
