The Marshall County Highway Department began its proposed 2020 Road Program this week.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said COVID-19 forced changes to work procedures so crews are starting with reclaiming roads for the next two weeks. Crews will reclaim Lincolnway west of Donaldson, 7B from Oak to Pine, Pine from the railroad tracks to 7th Road, Pine north of 7th Road, and County Line Road from 9B to 12 B.
Road closures can be expected during this process and Peters urges drivers to travel with caution.
Other work the crews are doing include general maintenance on roads, patching and grading, drainage maintenance, jetting culverts and tile, and prepping and repairing equipment.
Peters stressed that crews will be exercising social distancing while at a job site.
