In its Monday report, the Indiana State Department of Health announced that 963 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at the Indiana State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and private laboratories.
The total number of Indiana residents diagnosed with COVID-19 to date is 15,961.
A total of 844 COVID-19 patients have died of the virus. A total of 88 probable deaths have been reported. A probable death is when a physician lists COVID-19 as a contributing cause based on x-rays, scans and other clinical symptoms but there is no positive test on record.
Cass County had the most new cases at 439 which brought the total to 1,025. Pulaski County’s number has surged to 18 positive COVID-19 cases while Marshall County reported 29 positive cases and Starke County was at 15 cases. Fulton County reported 23 cases and Kosciusko County reported at 29 cases. La Porte County reported 192 positive cases and Porter County reported 215 cases.
