The Bremen Park Board voted Monday night to temporarily change rules to the park facilities to combat the spread of COVID-19.
By the order of Governor Eric Holcomb, all playgrounds are closed. Signs have been posted in areas notifying residents of the update.
Karen’s Bark Park, tennis courts, skate park, basketball courts, and all volleyball courts are locked or removed. The restroom facilities will remain locked and the park office is closed to the public.
Private facility rentals are postponed until a later date.
The board will reevaluate these temporary rule changes on April 22. They will continue as long as the Governor’s order is in place.
The parks are open, but the Park Board members and the staff with the Bremen Public Parks system ask that social distancing be observed throughout your time outdoors at the parks.
