The Triton School Board members appointed two students to be youth members on the Bourbon Town Council, according to Superintendent Jeremy Riffle.
“Bryan Ulloa and Hadassah Chupp are the ones that were voted in by the Student Council, our Senior Squad, and then the staff of the Triton Junior/Senior High School,” said Riffle.
Riffle says the youth members will be able to gain experience they otherwise might not receive in high school.
Riffle continued, “They’ll learn how a municipality runs and then they’ll have the ability to work with the town council to come up with activities, programs and stuff like that for the youth that they wouldn’t be as in touch with for the town.”
The students will be on the town council until they graduate and then new members will be chosen.
