The Bourbon Town Council members approved a resolution Monday night declaring a public health emergency.
The emergency declaration will permit the town to record COVID-19 expenses incurred during the public health emergency for purposes of reimbursement from the federal government.
The declaration will expire in one week. The town council members may extend that, if necessary.
