Phase 1 of the renovation of the old St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on South Street in Bremen is complete and a ribbon cutting celebration is set for this weekend.
According to the Bremen Community Cares Main Street Facebook page, the church was in the care of Kent Koontz and recently purchased by Historic Bremen, Inc. A volunteer group renovated the basement to act as a community center for space to rent for events.
The post also states that the space was transformed “into a vintage modern venue” that accentuates the original 1875 construction of the church.
The basement was last renovated in the 1980s by representatives of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
The ribbon cutting ceremony and a reception is set for Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. at the facility at 214 E. South Street. For more information call 574-971-6734.
