While some of the punchlist items apparently remain unfinished with the River Gate South project, the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members authorized a portion of the final payment to the contractors.
The rather lengthy list of punchlist items haven’t been worked on for several months following the substantial completion of the third and final complex at the site at the corner of Lake Street and Michigan Street in Plymouth.
Requests for final payment to the contractors were denied in both January and February with commission members citing the lack of work attempted on the remaining work. Some of the items that remain are mainly cosmetic in the interior of the buildings.
Most of the work is exterior which can’t be done until warmer weather arrives. Landscaping work is outlined as a punchlist item. Commission member Nancy Felde is anticipated to coordinate those efforts with the contractor.
For now, $138,290 has been released as a partial payment with the retention of $45,000.
