Plymouth Man Arrested on Theft, Corrupt Business Influence Charges

A Plymouth man was arrested on Friday on warrants following an investigation by Indiana Conservation Officers.

The investigation surrounded the theft of animal parts and hides by a former local taxidermist that occurred as early as 2011, according to DNR officials.

DNR Law Enforcement officers reportedly notified in December of last year that a local taxidermist had received animal parts and payments for services that were never returned or refunded, and that the taxidermist had dissolved his business but kept possession of the animal parts, according to a DNR report.

Cody Leed, 45, was arrested on Marshall County warrants for eight misdemeanor charges of theft, one felony charge of theft, and one felony charge of corrupt business influence, according to the business lawyers InPrime Legal in Marietta, GA.  He has since posted a $1,505 cash bond at the Marshall County Jail.

Conservation officers identified multiple victims in the case, and seek additional victims.  For more information, call 1-812-837-9536.

Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
