The Marshall County officials met on Friday morning to review the information about COVID-19 and community containment.
County officials and health providers are ready and prepared should any further preparedness measures need to be taken.
They encourage members of the public to use good hand hygiene by washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or more. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer can be used in the event hand washing cannot be immediately conducted. Keep hands away from your face and cough into your elbow. Clean and disinfect high touch areas.
Keep away from people who are ill. If anyone is experiencing respiratory symptoms, stay home. Avoid contact with anyone who has been positively diagnosed with COVID-19.
Contact your medical provider if you have a sore throat, fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
The elderly and those with compromised immune systems are the most vulnerable to COVID-19.
Officials from the Marshall County Health Department encourage all members of the community to do their part to contain and lessen the spread of the virus in the weeks to come.
