The John Glenn School Board members came to a decision last week concerning bus bids.
Superintendent Christopher Winchell said the board approved the purchase of three buses. One will be a 78-passenger school bus with the bid award going to Midwest Transit Equipment in the amount of nearly $99,000. The other two buses are labeled as 14-passenger special purpose buses used for special education students, smaller sporting events and other type of smaller events. Those two bus bids were also awarded Midwest Transit Equipment in the amount of just under $108,000.
Winchell commented that the bids came in several thousand dollars less than what was budgeted and the school board members were pleased with the bids.
