The Bremen Boys & Girls Club is believed to have been exposed to a presumptive positive COVID-19 patient. The Marshall County Health Department says it was notified Saturday that the exposure happened on March 9. Health Department officials say they’ve begun a contact investigation and will continue to gather information.
Symptoms of COVID-19 typically appear within two to 14 days of exposure. They include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.
Those who are sick and think they may have COVID-19 are asked to call their health care provider or the Coronavirus Hotline at 574-335-8560. Testing locations are available in Marshall County, according to the Health Department. Those who may have COVID-19 are reminded not to go to the emergency room or doctor’s office without calling ahead.
The Marshall County Health Department says the best ways to protect yourself from COVID-19, the flu, and other respiratory illnesses include washing your hands, staying home when you’re ill, and avoiding group functions with more than 10 people.
