Bremen Police Department Informs Public of Practices in Response to COVID-19

Officers from the Bremen Police Department established a number of practices in order to reduce the risk of exposure of COVID-19.

The department is in full operation and officers are making response decisions in consultation with supervisors.  Public access to the police department lobby is restricted.

No prescription drugs or needles for disposal will be collected until further notice.

Vehicle ID checks will be conducted over the phone and the officer will then respond to the vehicle location.

Officers will continue to respond to major case calls, however they will be taking precautions including social distancing and using personal protective equipment.

With minor incidents, residents are encouraged to make reports over the phone.  These types of incidents may include vandalism, harassment and minor theft complaints.

If officers arrive at a building, residents may be asked to step outside in open air to gather information on investigations.  They will avoid unnecessary physical contact.

Fingerprint services are suspended until further notice.
