Bremen Man Arrested on Suspicion of Impaired Driving

A Bremen man was arrested in the overnight hours Tuesday following a reported vehicle slide-off in the area of King Road and 4th Road in Bremen.

Police say 56-year-old Williamson Pendergrass performed standardized field sobriety testing by an officer from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.  He was then transported to the hospital for a chemical test and then taken to the Marshall County Jail, according to the report.

Pendergrass was booked on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated – schedule I or II controlled substance, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated endangerment.  Bond was set at $1,500 cash.

Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
