The Bourbon Town Council members met in an emergency session Monday night to review its previously adopted Public Health Emergency Disaster Declaration.
The resolution directs all residents to comply with emergency measures and to comply with public officials in executing emergency operation plans, and to obey and comply with the lawful direction of properly identified officers.
The declaration also makes the Town of Bourbon eligible for reimbursement of funds used in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Town employees with symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive for the virus will be sent home and not allowed to return until medically cleared. A doctor’s note is required and turned into the employee’s supervisor. Regular wages will be paid to employees during that period.
Utility and street employees will have the option of limiting the number of employees in the workplace. They will be paid regular wages while remaining on an on-call basis.
The resolution was adopted with a unanimous vote.
