Two people were arrested Friday morning following the execution of a search warrant at a home in the 400 E. block of Walnut Street in Argos.
Police say the investigation by the Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team (UNIT) found that two suspects living at the home were reportedly participating in illegal narcotics activity.
The suspects were identified as Jonathan Sanders and Jade Wagers. According to the report, Wagers was known to be an employee of the Marshall County Jail.
UNIT officers were able to obtain a search warrant with the full cooperation of the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office and the Sheriff’s Department.
Officers from the Indiana State Police SWAT Team, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Argos Police Department assisted the UNIT with the search warrant, according to the report. Once at the residence, the officers allegedly found trace amounts of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, as well as suspected marijuana and paraphernalia.
Wagers was arrested on preliminary charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana. Sanders was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
They both have a cash bond of $1,500.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
